Raytheon Vision Systems is seeking a detail oriented, thorough, organized and capable test engineer to join our team as Multi-Disciplined Engineer I. The successful candidate will have a strong electronics background and a complete understanding of technical theories and concepts in the set-up, troubleshooting and use of equipment and computers for the test of focal plane products. The individual will be called upon to aid in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of test equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will help to perform design verification testing of products and write test procedures and reports. Teaming effectively with other test engineers and team members, as well as communicating effectively to keep team members and management informed is a must.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years developing and supporting testing of analog and digital integrated circuits
- Demonstrated understanding of the use of lab test equipment
- Demonstrated application of PC-based testing & characterization
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and maintain special test equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work on teams and collaborate effectively across functions
- Good communication skills (oral, written & listening)
- Strong computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- Able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience testing infrared and visible sensors, and their components – readout integrated circuits (ROIC), focal plane arrays (FPA), integrated dewar/cooler assemblies (IDCA)
- Understanding of readout integrated circuits and focal plane array detectors
- Ability to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting infrared components and systems
- Experience developing test software (C#,).
- Experience with Cost Account Management and EVMS
- Experience with Design Verification, Yield Analysis, Design of Experiments, and Six-Sigma methods of problem solving
- SSBI clearance
Required Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics or related technical field
Desired Education:
MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics
