The Associate Program Manager at Santa Barbara Focalplane will be responsible for managing one or more Fire Control programs and/or external programs. The successful candidate will act as the primary customer contact for statussing program activities, leading program reviews of schedule, financial and technical performance. They will develop and maintain program management plans, manage financial commitments, define objectives for integrated program team and facilitate meetings. Establish and review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports. The individual will also assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They lead proposal teams and will participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
Ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills and have a full understanding of Program Management duties and responsibilities. The Program Manager must have the ability to establish positive relationships with various customers, teammates and subcontractors. Domestic travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree required
• Understands the importance of plans & schedules. Has the ability to utilize tools to manage all projects/programs. Able to formulate and execute recovery plans as required.
• Knowledge of Risk Management – Understands the value of identifying and managing program risks; Formulates risk burn down plans and ensures incorporation into project/program plans and schedules. Utilizes risk tools to manage projects/programs
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills, including the ability to interface at all levels and with multiple departments both in Santa Barbara and Orlando.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

• 6 years of engineering/logistics/program or project management experience
• Strong team building skills and ability to foster customer intimacy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Experience working with electro-optical sensor systems.
• 3 or more years of experience working with sensor systems
• Business Development knowledge – Ability to develop and maintain required relationships with customers, and the ability to work with technical staff and Business Development to ensure successful results
• Experience in the development of SOW’s and schedule integration
• Understanding of financial systems (EVMS)
• Cost Account Manager (CAM) certified.
