Graphiq’s Publishing Team offers a unique opportunity to grow as a writer, marketer, and data-driven journalist. With direct access to in-house data scientists, the editorial team creates compelling on-site content, and contributes posts for publications like TIME, Sports Illustrated, Business Insider, and The Huffington Post. Our team of content creators act as the high-performance test drivers of our data visualizations, creating fascinating, viral, and unique content that showcases the best our Knowledge Graph has to offer.
As a Content Marketing Intern you will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Publishing operation. Working with our editorial team, you will have the opportunity to create new data-driven content for Graphiq’s network of sites, as well as syndication partners like MSN, Yahoo, and AOL. In a role that straddles both the creative and business functions of our Publishing Team, you will gain valuable professional experience as we scale one of the fastest-growing parts of our business.
What You’ll Do
- Produce data-driven articles and quizzes with viral potential across a variety of topics
- Assist full-time editors in research and asset gathering
- Work with our Product, Enterprise, and Audience Development teams to identify, curate, and quality-check data sets, methodologies and visualizations
- Become an expert in the Graphiq platform, including how to create visualizations and format stories
- Keep a constant pulse on the needs of our syndication partners to ensure we hit deadlines and produce content efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Driven & passionate individuals that are ready to get in on the ground floor of a nascent digital publisher
- Editorial experience and strong journalistic instincts
- A left brain/right brain mixologist: Strong writing skills while also comfortable working with data
- Extreme attention to detail and willingness to live and die by deadlines
- Bias to action and some serious hustle
- Local students who can work year-round
Start Date: As soon as possible
Interns are expected to work 20 hours/week, with potential opportunities for remote work
