Job Description:
Candidate will serve as a software project lead for several programs which signal processing and command and control software is required. Candidate will expand and influence program development by working closely with the other senior engineers to set future technology and process direction for the program. Candidate may provide Software Engineering technical leadership for the software programs along with derivative applications as the technology moves into future EW programs. The complexity of these programs is driven by the number and type of developments currently supported within the EWS product lines. Candidate will also represent Raytheon technical capabilities at various Customer and Raytheon sites. The products he/she will be expected to support include complex Digital Signal Processing Programs (DSPP), control software developed on PPC platforms as well as diagnostic, analysis, and support application software. The technologies and development tools required to support these systems are in themselves highly complex in nature. Candidate is expected to work with program management, cross functional managers, senior engineers to ensure the success of the program. Candidate may be involved in contributing to product functional tests and customer sell off events. Candidate need to work with configuration management and software quality engineers.
*Required Skills:
•8+ years of related work experience, including 2+ years of Electronic Warfare or similar experience
•Proven experience leading small to medium sized teams of software engineers in defense programs
•Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate a team
•Proven experience spanning software architecture, design, implementation, testing, and system integration
•Familiar with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
•Have experience working with IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)
•Hardware / software integration experience
•Have an active DOD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
•Experience with Software Architecture, signal processing, or related engineering activities
•Experience with developing and integrating tactical electronic warfare software
•Experience with Radar Warning Receiver, radar, jammer systems and/or their simulation tools
•Experience with Lean and Agile Scrum development process
•Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle
•Experience in leading technical teams and mentoring
*Required Education:
Minimum Bachelors of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
