Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems in Goleta, CA is seeking an experienced professional to implement and manage to a Quality Assurance System and specific customer quality flow down requirements throughout the lifecycle of Raytheon Vision Systems contracts.The selected professional will create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements to Raytheon program teams and supply base.
This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
The selected individual will perform:
- Review and interpret all contract requirements and draft Contract Quality Requirements (CQR) to create and maintain program quality per the customer requirements.
- Create and execute the Quality Program Plans (QPP), based on the CQR and in partnership with the cross functional Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
- Support the product design by participating in technical reviews, address manufacturability during the design cycle, and collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure supplier capability for product design (buy parts).
- Confirm that the design process has resulted in a physical architecture that satisfies the system requirements.Ensure system configuration is controlled and requirements are verifiable.
- Participate in multi-functional teams. Support problem resolution and process improvement activities. Emphasize the use of six sigma with lean practices, and statistical process control. Utilize measured performance data to implement preventive action.
- Act as liaison by providing interpretation of quality requirements, policies, or procedures to the functional program representatives
- Address customer concerns and coordinate resolutions. Assure corrective action plans are robust and feasible.
- Interface with government DCMA representatives. Drive associated corrective action request to root cause.
- Work with Engineering. Participate in planning reviews associated with product testing, integration, and delivery of product.
- Peer review & approve all associated program engineering documents
- Address causal analysis of defects. Work on internal or external program related issues.
- Insure Supplier Quality involvement with sub-tier suppliers.
Required Skills:
- Minimum four (4) years related experience in military aircraft and equipment development, production, test and sustainment (Depot) in a high-reliability environment
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems IS0 9001-2008 and AS9100, Configuration and Data Management, and implementation of internal and contractual quality requirements
- Ability to collaborate with program cross-functional team members to apply effective solutions to problems
- Data extraction and analysis skills. Strong written/verbal presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Raytheon Specialist Certification
- Must be able to obtain a Classified Clearance
Desired Skills
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Raytheon Expert Certification
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
- Knowledge of Special Test Equipment development / procurement / transition to production
Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102Education (including Major):
BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or currently an E-graded employee
