Staff Writer

Graphiq’s editorial team offers a unique opportunity to grow as a writer, editor and data-driven journalist. With direct access to our in-house data scientists, the editorial team creates compelling stories that are published onsite and with our media partners (i.e. TIME, MSN, AOL, Yahoo). Staff writers will craft stories on a variety of subjects, from business to health to education to real estate.

What You’ll Do:

• Brainstorm, research and craft compelling stories that leverage Graphiq data and visualizations.
• Demonstrate a creative approach to developing unique angles and new story ideas based on Graphiq’s data.
• Work with data scientists to create methodologies for articles.
• Become familiar with various storytelling methods, from slideshows to deep-dive articles to video packages.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong journalistic instincts and a nose for a good story
• Excellent writing and editing skills, and a mastery of AP Style
• Ability to think analytically and work with data to draw relevant insights
• Excellent communication skills
• Creative approach to problem-solving
• 1-3 years of journalism experience
